Fans of THE WHITE STRIPES, THE GREENHORNES, ELVIS COSTELLO, NANCY SINATRA, BILLY CHILDISH, SCOTT H. BIRAM, SERGE GAINSBOURG and THE FLAT DUO-JETS, rejoice!
Tiny Team, Primary Art Supply and Connect Savannah proudly welcome legendary British indie-music icon HOLLY GOLIGHTLY (of THEE HEADCOATEES) and her new, two-piece band THE BROKEOFFS for their Savannah debut.
The Brokeoffs features Lawyer Dave, a one-man band in his own right, playing bottleneck guitar along with various homemade, foot-controlled percussion instruments.
If you don’t know Holly by name, you may have heard her on the soundtrack for the Jim Jarmusch film BROKEN FLOWERS, or as a guest on albums by bands such as Rocket from The Crypt and The White Stripes.
Here’s one of her contributions to the BROKEN FLOWERS soundtrack:
Here’s her collaboration with The White Stripes on their CD Elephant:
Here’s a live clip of “Gettin’ High For Jesus” off Holly & The Brokeoffs’ great new CD:
DEVIL-OH-SEVEN (a new local duo made up of HOT PINK INTERIOR’s CRAIG JOHANSEN and AMY OCHOA) open the show with a set of rearranged versions of old favorites and new material.
You can listen to some home-recorded demos from Devil-Oh-Seven as well as sample Holly & The Brokeoffs’ latest CD at our MySpace page!
Thanks for supporting our efforts to spice up the local live entertainment scene, and make sure you get to this small club early, as it just may sell out!
